Let’s look at how to block annoying ads on your Android device.

Requirements: Android 4.0+ with root access.

NOTICE: These apps require superuser (SU) permission and won’t work without root.

Method 1: AdAway (Android 4.0 and up)

AdAway is the top ad-blocking app for rooted Android devices. Download it here.

Requirements: Internet connection on your device.

Open the app and tap Download and Apply Adblock. It will download some filter lists. Once complete, you’ll see a green tick.

Reboot your device. Open any app that normally shows ads — the ad slots will be blank or invisible.

Method 2: Ad Block Plus (older Android versions)

If you’re on an older version of Android, Ad Block Plus also works well. Download and install it, tap Enable Adblock, wait for it to download filter utilities, then reboot.

All ads will be hidden after the reboot.

By using either method, you can easily disable ads across your apps. If you have any questions, feel free to comment below :-)
